Home Sweet Home is a small, intimate home birth practice that will serve women and families. Midwifery care will be provided for women in the Des Moines metro and surrounding areas. 

​

While I know there are a few home birth options in Des Moines, there are quite a few things that set Home Sweet Home apart from the others. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) with a Christian based home birth practice who truly values life! Pregnancy & birth are special times in a woman’s life and I believe that God is present in this journey with families. 

​

Home birth and midwifery care is all about relationship. Clients see me for almost a year usually (all of pregnancy plus the postpartum time) and we really get to know one another. This is something I truly value as being the only midwife in my practice. Your visits will always be 45-90mins in length and there is a lot of education that happens from pregnancy, nutrition, exercise/wellness, newborn education, postpartum education, vaccinations (whether you want to do none, some, or all), breastfeeding, mental health, safety, and so much more!

 

I also only take on a few clients each month for births. This is to ensure all moms have my full attention & that births will not overlap. I value my clients and their families greatly and truly believe in giving them my full support!
